¿Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 ?

Activision ha lanzado la web oficial del próximo Call of Duty en la que una imagen se ha ido desvelando poco a poco... hasta ahora, que está completa.

 Las imágenes no dejan mucho lugar a la imaginación y sigue la línea que indica que la próxima iteración de la saga se llamará Call of Duty: Ghosts, tal y como se ha rumoreado durante semanas.

La otra gran prueba que confirmaría que Infinity Ward estaría desarrollando Call of Duty: Ghosts en lugar de Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 se reveló la semana pasada. Se trata de la presunta portada oficial del juego, filtrada en dos tiendas online (Target y Tesco).Dicha revelación nos aseguraba que el título saldría al menos para PS3 y Xbox 360. En la ficha de Tesco, la fecha de lanzamiento era el 31 de diciembre de 2013. Seguramente se trataba de un dato de relleno. La fecha ofrecida por Target, mencionada en la promoción de reserva, es más lógica teniendo en cuenta lanzamientos anteriores: 5 de noviembre.

Tesco ha eliminado las pruebas de la existencia de CoD: Ghosts, pero VG247 ha rescatado la descripción de la ficha: “La franquicia que ha definido esta generación se prepara para subir el listón una vez más con el nuevo Ghosts. Distribuido por Activision y desarrollado por Infinity Ward, el estudio creador de la franquicia y de la serie Modern Warfare, Ghosts nos lanza a una nueva generación para la franquicia, ofreciéndonos una nueva experiencia gameplay con historia, contexto y personajes nuevos, todo ello potenciado con un motor de nueva generación”.

La descripción nos confirmaría que el lanzamiento de Call of Duty: Ghosts (y no Call of Duty: Modern Warfre 4) también está previsto para consolas de nueva generación: PS4, Xbox 720 y Wii U. El dato encaja parcialmente con un rumor del mes de marzo pasado que decía que el juego iba a ser exclusivo para plataformas next-gen y PC.

Si Tesco no miente, CoD Ghosts será el primer juego de la serie en utilizar el nuevo motor gráfico de Infinity Ward previsto para aprovechar al máximo la potencia gráfica de plataformas next-gen. Sería el primer título de la franquicia desde Modern Warfare en actualizar de forma literal su motor gráfico.

The description would confirm that the launch of Call of Duty: Ghosts (and not Call of Duty: Modern Warfre 4) is also planned for next-generation consoles: PS4, Xbox 720 and Wii U. The data partially fit a rumor of last March that said the game would be unique to next-gen platforms and PC.

If Tesco does not lie, CoD Ghosts will be the first game in the series to use the new graphics engine Infinity Ward plans to maximize the graphical power of next-gen platforms. It would be the first title in the franchise since Modern Warfare literally to update its graphics engine.
